Hi Lily,

We had a similar issue with a few journals showing up as books in Primo and not found in the journals A-Z list. In our case, I saw that the CZ records had "m" in the position 21 of the 008 field, which is for Monographic series instead of "p" for Periodical. The support claimed the records were wrongly enriched by their customers and they returned the CZ records to original data. The issue was fixed when the synchronizing changes from CZ process completed.

Comparing the record with the issue with another record without the issue from the same electronic collection helped me see what was making them appear differently in Primo. In your case, I see that the record for News Tribune<https://sbctc-spsccctc.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01STATEWA_SPSCC/tpd1rg/alma991000840414302823> is found in the Journals A-Z list. Both records are really brief so you can see the difference pretty easily.

I think the only thing you can do is to submit a ticket so that they can fix the CZ record. What worries me is the thought that there must be many more errors like this out there that we don't catch!

I have a puzzle that I can’t figure out. I’m hoping you can help me out and wondering if this is happening to you, too?



In Primo, The Seattle Times record<https://sbctc-spsccctc.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01STATEWA_SPSCC/1agrhko/alma991000840408402823> is listed as a book and tells me that the record is from the Library Catalog. Because the record seems to be a book record, The Seattle Times does not show up in the A-Z Journals list<https://sbctc-spsccctc.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/jsearch?query=any,contains,seattle&tab=jsearch_slot&vid=01STATEWA_SPSCC:SPSCC&offset=0&journals=any,seattle>.



In Alma, the portfolio record in the EBSCOhost Points of View Reference Center electronic collection tells me that the electronic material type for the record is “journal.”



All I did when I activated the electronic collection was press the Activate button, so how did the record convert from journal to book? My end goal is to have The Seattle Times show up in the A-Z Journals list.
