[Wactclc-alma] QR Codes in Primo?

Hey Greg,

Hope you are well. Yes, we did discuss this on a call and I think Wade said he could disable.

I actually tried it when doing a search for a faculty member, and we are going to keep it for now. Here's the FYI email I sent our librarians:

"Here's something new in Primo that you might have noticed: QR Code as a Link to Primo Pages<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Primo/Release_Notes/002Primo_VE/2020/010Primo_VE_2020_Release_Notes>.

I just did a Primo search for a faculty member, clicked the QR code icon in the main menu, and it created a link to the search results that I could share:

I thought y'all might find this tool helpful when working on the ref desk with students, or working with faculty and student groups. And, you don't actually have to use the QR code given, you can just copy the link."

What about other libraries? Has anyone else found a use for it?

Sorry if this was discussed at one of the meetings (which I haven't been able to attend). I'm seeing a QR code now in Primo. I'm wondering if anyone's explored its functionality or know the full range of what it does? And how well it does it?

Anyone find that it's better to disable/deactivate (if possible)?
