[Wactclc-alma] blockchain meets open access

Here's something that's kind of fascinating... the idea of a blockchain DAO whose purpose would be to fund the buyout of academic publishers so the content could be converted to open access. Or, funding the development of open access alternatives.

It seems kind of naïve or unrealistic at the moment. But who knows...

And it's only a matter of time before blockchain technology invading libraries. Just google blockchain in libraries...
