Sorry that I was not clear. When doing a physical titles search and then looking at the items. . . We use this search constantly.

Hello Lynn,

Thanks for the information, but I don't get what you are saying, as when I create a report, I can display the copy number (description field), as well as Copy ID. I don't think we would have a reason to be searching Alma for a specific copy of a title. Am I missing something?

Just be aware that the copy number does not show up when you display a list of items from a search. That is why we put the copy number in the description and the copy number fields.

Hello everyone,



I know that there was some discussion during the ALMA refresher training about the use of the description field. I would like to be able to remove our copy numbers from the Description field and put the information in the Copy ID field where it belongs. I have put together an analytic report to generate all of our items with copy numbers in the description field. I am not sure on the next step. Can someone please help me remember what I should do next?
