To answer Lesley’s question…

The MyInstitution zone will include anything that is discoverable in Alma in the institutional zone, including titles from activated CZ collections. This is as-designed, and is always how PVE has behaved, as well as previous versions of Primo.

As others point out, Custom Local Data Scopes can be set up if you want to target specific collections, locations or resource types.

there is no definitive way to target *just* non-CZ titles (unless you want to search physical-only).

However, you could create a custom local data scope that excludes resource type = journals. So you could have a scope that include mostly books and video (physical or electronic) along with minor resource types like maps, equipment, etc.

I just replicated this in our “Library Catalog” dropdown and I have a theory!

It was explained during our Primo VE migration that if it’s in Alma, then it’s in the “catalog.” And sure enough the Source for these items is Library Catalog.

This is extremely frustrating. I understood when EBSCO ebooks or Films on Demand results showed up because we added them as institutional collections. However, this is now showing CZ items.

Should we open a WACTCLC ticket?

You might just want to rename the facet.

We don't have a "Books & ebooks" facet at all.  We have the following names for our facets:

Library Catalog
Everything
Articles and eResources
Course Reserves

Hey all, has anyone seen an issue like this? I search for books and eBooks in the drop-down, and get journals and other resource types returned. I have to click a second time to limit to books using the Resource Type facet. This obviously is annoying and potentially confusing to the general user. Why not just disable these specific searches if they aren’t accurately doing what they say they should do?
