Hi Nina:

We have been having the same problem as you with the Primo search widget no longer working to show any facets at all - unless we kept the scope to Everything - since we switched to VE.

However, before, when we kept the scope to Everything, the In the Library option under Availability facet did appear - even when originating the search from the widget.

In the last few days, I've noticed that when we keep that scope at Everything, "in the library" no longer shows up under the Availability facet.

And, you are correct - "in the library" shows up when the search originates within PrimoVE, not from the search widget.

Elena, I just noticed that when I initiate a search from the Primo widget on my Alma home page, that label doesn't show up. However, if I then click the magnifying glass search icon on the results that are returned (within Primo itself), that label does show up. When I begin my search within Primo (not through the widget), the label shows.

Might you have done your initial search from your Alma home page, or a some similar external search box/ widget?

Thanks, Wade. I would appreciate the refresher, because I thought I understood the difference, but I am still getting confused.

Also, another issue that might be related to this: When I do a search in Primo, under "Everything," even though books from our catalog show up, the option to choose "in the Library" does not appear as a choice in the Availability facet. It worked as expected as recently as last week, and so I'm not sure if this is a result of the latest VE update or something else.

Elena,

Glad you figured it out.

The 'Everything' search profile slot in your view does already contain your set of search scopes. (You can see this if you drill down into that slot via the '...' menu.)

It's the search profile slot vs search profile thing. Too cumbersome to cover in a listserv post, but we can go over it in next week's call.

OMG. I just figured it out. I was in the configuration, but accidentally had Whidbey Island campus chosen instead of Skagit Valley College as a whole. It must have to do with some of the updates Wade was talking about this morning in the call. I just deactivated everything except Everything in the Whidbey Island config and it now is back to the way it looked before. Good lord. Do not try this at home...

So, I went into Primo today and noticed that even in search everything, under availability, "Available in the library" was not showing in our facets on the left.

So, I went into the Configure views and noticed that in Search Profile Slots, the only thing that was active was Everything. Somehow, the Library Catalog, Articles & More, Course Reserves search profiles were all inactive. I reactivated them. I now end up with this on our primo search screen:

Has this happened to anyone else, and how do I fix it?
