[Wactclc-alma] Error message

I think Kirsti and Sally have covered this one.

Basically, at some point you made calendar changes that affected active due dates.

Kind of like what Sally suggested, maybe you closed the library one day, or half day, for union discussion. Something like that.

The impact honestly was probably not that great, and I wouldn't waste any cycles looking into it. You can always forgive fines at the desk if anyone gets assessed fines because of those changes. And the likelihood of patrons even noticing won't be that great.

The Health Check report is a newer feature. It can be useful. But you want to apply judgement regarding which of any alerts require attention.

You did the right thing just asking about it here. My advice in this case would be "these aren't the droids you're looking for".

I’ve seen that come up in the health check, and decided that it wasn’t a problem. That is based on my figuring the job needs to be run only if you’ve been using the calendar with a certain setup but then modify it to change days or hours to closed when you were formerly open. I know that we have never changed our calendar for a period of time that has passed. Actually, now that I’m typing this, I have been unable to change the descriptions for records regarding days that have already passed. So now I’m not so sure!

Elena,

Guessing from the scanty information about the HealthCheck Tool in Alma Online Help:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/050Administration/060Advanced_Tools/HealthCheck_Tool<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fknowledge.exlibrisgroup.com%2fAlma%2fProduct_Documentation%2f010Alma_Online_Help_%28English%29%2f050Administration%2f060Advanced_Tools%2fHealthCheck_Tool&c=E,1,ISZw1m9fnJTLHuPRsbv4NIPbD2lJtugQONo2NX2BFTsMQ3bDIze0rkuxc_lhCGOtm36sHiFZgcp9MKxfMrtCaYbm-cnrA9P67ljAPGBwGtq-13yjkwgfOWw,&typo=1>

I’d say, try running this job again:
Alma Config > Fulfillment > General > Fulfillment Jobs Configuration > Loans - Due Date Correction after Calendar Change job

And take a look at this KB article:
https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Knowledge_Articles/Synchronize_Changes_from_CZ_is_both_pending_and_completed/Due_Date_Correction_after_Calendar_Change_job_ran_and_did_not_update_any_records<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fknowledge.exlibrisgroup.com%2fAlma%2fKnowledge_Articles%2fSynchronize_Changes_from_CZ_is_both_pending_and_completed%2fDue_Date_Correction_after_Calendar_Change_job_ran_and_did_not_update_any_records&c=E,1,hNZgKT8_KDM0lZ7Q7HWsgMjSJs-UXf2D6mGxhrHLlP43il42uphP39-aJI4OVxpEO5eqGqkbb3Ud8_zUYGgoy_hMdG62Nc-7m5VF0tGVfkRGcWY,&typo=1>

And thanks for asking this! I didn’t know the HealthCheck Tool existed (or maybe I did and forgot?). Now I kind of want to run it but I’m terrified of what might turn up if I do. ;)

Subject: [Wactclc-alma] Error message

Hi all:

I noticed that the System Health Check that ran yesterday has this error: Patrons loan dates not adjusted due to library closed date exception, and then in the description, it says “No history record of update loan due date with success status found.”

Has anyone else seen this? What does this even mean? Does it mean that our due dates aren’t being updated successfully to deal with closed dates? How do I find out exactly what the error was and if it’s something we need to worry about?

Thanks!

Elena
