When you get to the part about validating the Alma XML pubmed data on the ncbi site, just post to the list if you get stuck. (or if you get stuck anywhere else in the process.)


When I did the validation with the Bellevue extract, I found one journal that Alma considered pubmed content but pubmed did not. (Probably because pubmed stopped tracking that journal or something.) It's just a matter of marking that journal to not be published to pubmed on the Alma side.

PubMed offer two options for setting up openURL linking and we selected the LinkOut Local tool rather than the Outside Tool, as the Outside tool requires a link to an ILL form that is automatically populated when the Alma resolver cannot find the article in Primo.

Has anyone set up PubMed LInkOut with Alma? I'd be interested in learning how you did this. I'm getting hung up on the creation of an XML file with our online journal holdings because they need to match the PubMed journal list and I'm not sure how to do that.
