[Wactclc-alma] Fine accrual for laptop didn't accrue a $2.00 fine

Thanks Shellie.  I made the switch so our policy now looks like the second one.  I just am not sure I understand why it didn't accrue the $2.00 fine unless it's because I haven't checked in a laptop that was only one day overdue, but several days overdue so that's why this hasn't shown up before.

I'll keep an eye out for anything amiss with the change though, just in case.

It looks like the Grace Period policy might be in play  (I do understand that your intent is to have no grace)

You have 2 "no grace" policies:

This is the one that is active in the 1 week laptop TOU.

This is the other one:

I recommend you switch the Grace Period policy in the 1 Week Student Laptop TOU to the one that has Value Type of "none."  The second one listed above.

I can't put my finger on exactly what is going on, but I don't see anything else amiss or suspect in your configuration.

And other institutions who are using fines/fees in their TOUs with no grace period are using a policy like the second one (with no Value Type)

Hi,

I just returned a laptop that was late by 1 day.  It was due on 1/24 and it was returned today.  The $2.00 fine didn't accrue like it should have.  I looked at the barcode and the item and it's under the right loan type/TOU.  I'm not sure why it didn't accrue a fine.  Can you help me figure out this mystery?

Here's a screenshot of the laptop return screen so you can see the barcode of the item as well as the due date and the return date.
