[Wactclc-alma] creating a set of items from a set of titles

Couple ideas:

You might have to make it a public set.

That job, Export Physical Items will only run against a set of Physical Titles or Physical Items. Not, for example, against a set of All Titles (an All Title set would not be included in the list of candidate sets).

Quick follow-up, I checked in the Alma documentation<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/050Administration/070Managing_Jobs/020Running_Manual_Jobs_on_Defined_Sets>, and it says that the Export Physical Items job: "Exports physical items from any title-level set."

Why, then, when I try to run that job, can't I see the title-level set that I created and from which I want to export the items? Does it have to be a logical vs. an itemized set? But, I already am seeing both logical and itemized sets in the list that I have to choose from, so that doesn't make sense.

What am I missing here?

Thanks,

Elena

Subject: [Wactclc-alma] creating a set of items from a set of titles

I know we talked about this at one of the last calls, but I can't remember. Are we not able to create a set of physical item records based on a set of physical titles that we've already created? I've tried populating a set of physical items based on a file of MMS IDs that I have for titles, and I've gotten an error message.

I've also tried running an export items jobs based on a list of titles that I created, but while it shows me some other sets that are itemized and physical title sets, the ones that I want to run the job on do not show up in the list.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Elena
