Subject: Technical Seminar Alma Session Attendees - Please Read!
Importance: High

Hello Technical Seminar attendee:

Thank you for registering for Alma sessions at this year's 2018 Technical Seminar. Prior to traveling to Spokane, we want to ensure that you will have access to everything you need during these sessions.

To that end, it's critical that you have done the following in advance:

  1. Ensure your user account has the necessary user roles associated with it so that you will be able to participate fully in all hands-on activities. For more details, please refer to the Managing User Roles<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/010Alma_Online_Help_(English)/050Administration/030User_Management/060Managing_User_Roles> documentation article.
  2. Run Fiscal Period Close operations in your Alma sandbox environment, specifically, to establish a current fiscal period. Please refer to the Fiscal Period Closure<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/Alma_Online_Help_(English)/Acquisitions/100Advanced_Tools/020Fiscal_Period_Closure> article in the Knowledge Center for documentation about how to accomplish this task. This is especially important for those of you who are registered for Analytics and Acquisitions sessions.
  3. Please ensure you bring a laptop that is able to access wireless internet networks and any accessories that you will need to operate comfortably throughout the session (e.g. mouse, charging cord, etc.). Please note that there is no laptop loaner program at this year's Technical Seminar.
  4. Bring URLs for both your Alma production and sandbox environments. You'll want access to those in order to participate in any hands-on session activities as appropriate.
  5. Presentation resources will be accessible in the Customer Knowledge Center<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Cross_Product/Conferences_and_Seminars/Technical_Seminar/2018_Technical_Seminar> just prior to the commencement of the Technical Seminar (Knowledge Center Home > Cross-Product > Conferences and Seminars > 2018 Technical Seminar). You will be able to download the presentations to use during the sessions, follow along and/or take notes.

We're very pleased that you decided to join us at this year's Technical Seminar! Safe travels, and we look forward to seeing you in Spokane.

Regards,
Scott Shull
