[Wactclc-alma] blocking public patrons

If you're trying to block users with your "public user has lost items" block description, you just need to add a block definition to go along with that block description.

The description is just a label. It needs a corresponding block definition to actually do something.

You can also set some patron limits for the target user group, to block them automatically after a certain $ amount owed, or a certain number of overdues, etc. It doesn't look like you have many patron limits set up right now.

Both block definitions and patron limits are options under "Fulfillment Configuration".

Just post back to the list if this info doesn't get you where you need to go.

We used to be able to block public patrons in Voyager and a pop-up would appear if they were blocked for overdue items. I can't figure out if it's possible to truly have a pop-up notice and block public patrons from checking out items....It's especially confusing since there's a "block" tab that doesn't work the way I would think it would...Ideas?
