PBO = "Primo Back Office"

It looks like this:

As "Primo Total Care" customers, we have access to a limited subset of PBO features.

(The stuff we don't have access is hidden from us.)

No, no limit to number of simultaneous users logged on to the sandbox. At least, none that we'll run into.

To access your PBO from a remote location (like the technical seminar), you will need some kind of VPN or remote access into your campus, and then use the PBO through that remote session.

You'll have to work with your local IT staff to determine what kind of remote access is offered at your campus. And it's something you can test from any remote location (your house, a Starbuck's etc).

Wade,

Is there a limited number of users that can use the sandbox at one time? We will also need access to our institution's PBO for some of the technical seminar sessions.

Thanks,
Traci

Shellie and I will take care of rolling over the C1 sandbox. C2 shouldn't need to be rolled over, but we'll check.

C3 still has individual institutional sandboxes, for anyone going to the tech seminar. And in any case, those sandboxes shouldn't need rolling over.

We will post the sandbox URL's for C1 and C2 separately. There is only one sandbox each for those 2 cohorts now.

(And following full implementation, we'll have a total of 4 sandboxes for the consortium.)

Good question. Is there something in the Sandbox that would prevent multiple people from running Fiscal Period Close?

Who from each cohort is attending the Alma Technical Seminar trainings? I'm the only one going to the Alma Technical Seminar from Seattle Colleges.

Hi all,

Since Cohort 1 shares a sandbox, who will be taking care of the 3rd bullet point?

Thanks,
Traci

Dear Technical Seminar attendee:

You have registered for a number of Alma sessions at Technical Seminar 2017. Prior to traveling to Schaumburg, we want to ensure that you will have access to everything you need during these sessions.

To that end, it's critical that you bring the following with you:

* URLs for both your Alma production and sandbox environments

* Your user account has the necessary roles associated with it so that you will be able to participate fully in all hands-on activities

* You run Fiscal Period Close operations in your Alma sandbox environment, specifically, to establish a current fiscal period. Please refer to the Fiscal Period Closure<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Product_Documentation/Alma_Online_Help_(English)/Acquisitions/100Advanced_Tools/020Fiscal_Period_Closure> article in the Knowledge Center for documentation about how to accomplish this task.

For participants whose implementation has not yet begun, we will provide you with details regarding access to an Alma environment that you will be able to use while attending Technical Seminar. You will receive this information on the first day of sessions.

We're glad that you will be joining us at Technical Seminar and look forward to seeing you in Schaumburg!

Best regards,
Scott Shull
