[LIBRARYDIR] Seeking Instructional Designers, WA Open ProfTech

Instructional Designers of Washington community and technical colleges,

SBCTC is seeking instructional designers (IDs) to join the Washington Open ProfTech project, a federally funded initiative aiming to develop a set of open textbooks for professional technical programs.

Each ID will be assigned to a specific textbook cohort for support. We are looking for candidates adept at one-on-one and small group facilitation, with demonstrated instructional design expertise in higher education.

Primary tasks include:

  *   Ensure the assigned textbook cohort stays on track for milestones by

     *   Advising the cohort members regarding requirements, deliverables, and deadlines based on the project manual,

     *   Leading the monthly cohort meetings,

     *   Updating the current status on the deliverables tracking chart, and

     *   Troubleshooting for cohort members for various issues.

  *   Review chapters based on instructional design principles.

  *
Assist cohort members in formatting the chapters based on the project manual.
  *   Attend support team meetings and report on progress.

  *   Collaborate with project leadership for problem-solving.

Compensation for each ID will be approximately $10,000. The project is expected to span approximately 1.5 years, from July 2024 to January 2026. If you are interested, please complete the form below by 4/5/2024 to be considered.
