[LIBRARYDIR] Tech Fee and Library Funding

Thanks Claire, and good to hear from you. I like the idea of the NYT app/website subscription. I don’t think our government will fund subscriptions, but I like the idea nonetheless.

Things are going well out here, but it’s been an extreme shift with the weather. I’m just glad it’s back above 0. That was a hard few days.

How are you holding up?

Hi Greg,

We asked for and got Chromebooks and laptops for short-term loans. The student government, not the tech fees, funded the New York Times app/website for one year. Hope all is well with you, Claire

I was wondering if anyone has successfully used tech fee money at your college. We are interested in exploring new ideas here at SCC. Previously we have used tech fee to support acquisitions of laptops and the creation of a VR station.

We were recently told that we could only use the money for direct teach technologies.
