This made me laugh!  Thanks, Tim.

We have been allowed to sell books from the collection if we keep track of the number sold and the amount.  In the past, (haven’t done it in a while) we would put discarded books among donated books and would just keep count of their numbers.

This reminds me of discussions we’ve had over the years about wacko crazy rules.

At one point they did not want to by facial tissue because that would be using state purchased items for personal use.  So I asked how we could buy toilet paper then and said “Fine. I’ll just put a roll of toilet paper on the service desk for students to use.”  We now have facial tissue at the desk.  😉

Along those lines, someone from our Business Office once questioned our purchase of book marks.  We use to buy a bunch at the beginning of the school year and it caught their attention for some reason.  I informed the inquirer that we don’t give those away.  We leave them on the counter and people STEAL them.

Hi all,

I think I keep coming back to this question because I can't accept the answer, so apologies in advance. I know we cannot sell weeded books, but can we put them on a free table, or do we have to recycle them? Thanks for your help and patience!
