He heard our recent discussion at the LLC meeting about VPATS.

He writes, "I wanted to share some valuable resources that our Web Accessibility Specialist, Vicki Walton, has put together following the insightful discussion during last week's eLC/LLC summer meeting. It came to our attention that many of you have experienced frustration in obtaining and understanding Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) to assess software accessibility. In an effort to address this, Vicki has compiled a set of helpful documents to assist you.



I have attached a zip file that contains the following documents along with their purposes:



  1.  "Understanding the ACR & VPAT - Assistance for Colleges.docx": This is the main document intended for colleges to use, as it provides useful tips and tricks.



  1.  "Email to vendor to request ACR-VPAT and demo login.docx": This document serves as a template email that can be used to request an Accessibility Conformance Report and a demo login from vendors to test their software.



  1.  "What to look for on the ACR_VPAT.docx": This is my personal cheat sheet on how to evaluate an ACR/VPAT, which you may find helpful.



  1.  "WCAG2Checklist.pdf": This PDF contains WebAIM's checklist, offering a deeper understanding of each WCAG criterion. It can assist you in comprehending the ACR/VPAT.
