We are pleased to offer a professional development and training opportunity specifically for Washington State Navigators and Student Support Staff who serve adult learners in our Basic Education for Adults (BEdA) programs. Whether their role is classified as a navigator, advisor, transition specialist, with intake and enrollment or in assessment, etc., all are invited.

The 2023 Navigating Through Conference: Harnessing Agency for Advocacy will be offered on Thursday, November 16, 2023, on the Everett Community College campus in the Henry M. Jackson Conference Center.

Participants will reflect on their role in supporting students at this in-person, full-day conference. Participants can expect to leave this conference understanding their agency and responsibility within their own practice by utilizing skills, tools, and strategies to advocate for students throughout the institution.

Please forward this message to all BEdA staff or faculty who serve in navigation roles. Registration is capped and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is no cost for this training. Faculty and staff will need supervisory permission as travel is required for this in-person training.
