Dear Washington State CTC System Members:

I write to inform you of a call for nominations for the Cascadia Open Education Summit, which will take place virtually April 27-29, 2021.

SBCTC is a co-sponsoring organization, and we have been asked to provide a keynote speaker to present for one hour on open educational resources (OERs) in the spirit of the SBCTC vision statement.<http://bit.ly/SBCTCVISION>

What does it mean to create open educational resources (OERs) that "lead with racial equity" and create a "sense of belonging" for our historically underserved students of color (HU-SOC)?

Nominations will be anonymized; and of course, feel free to self-nominate or put forward more than one name.

Sadly, my amazing colleague Boyoung Chae is not eligible for nomination.🙁

Please send Monique Belair (mbelair at sbctc.edu) your nominations by close of business next Thursday, October 8.

Peace,

Jen
