The Social Justice Leadership Institute (SJLI) is moving online for 20-21! I know many of you are hungry to develop your skills, capacity, expertise, hearts, and minds to challenge social injustice as it occurs in our CTC system: this is as an extraordinary leadership development opportunity to do just that.

Social Justice Leadership Institute (SJLI) Update!



Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, SJLI COHORT VII will now be offered remotely for 2021.  We are committed to the same learning and networking experiences, as the face-to-face institute. As a result of offering SJLI remotely, the registration fee has been adjusted accordingly.

Social Justice Leadership Institute:

       SJLI focuses on honing skills for becoming a culturally responsive social justice leader of the community and technical community colleges in Washington State. It is a collaboration with Bellevue College & South Seattle College.



Social Justice Leadership Institute Mission:

To achieve full leadership participation, educational equity, and empowerment for members of historically disfranchised and underrepresented groups through mentoring, and culturally responsive training. The intended outcomes of this leadership institute are:

  *   To foster leadership identity among historically underrepresented groups.
  *   To professionally develop a pipeline of colleagues through cohorts system wide, preparing them to move into higher leadership positions.

 Social Justice Institute Updated Time Commitment:

·         Retreat 2- four hour sessions

·         Five ½ day online sessions
