[Factc] Save the date Winter Meeting Feb. 13 & 14

Hi all,

As we discussed in October at our meeting we are planning to be in Olympia on February 13 & 14.   We are looking at possible venues for the legislative reception that will be held on Thursday evening.   Our regular meeting will be at SPSCC on Friday.

As a different approach this year we are hoping that some of you can come down to Olympia during the day and perhaps make contact with some of your legislators.  Arlen Harris, legislative director SBCTC, suggests you touch base with your campus president who might be able to get some responses from the members.   We are also hoping to have more one on one contact with legislators and FACTC reps at the reception.

If you know of any special incantations/rituals to ward off another snowpocalypse that would be really helpful.

For some of this we will need to wait until after the election and then in early December when legislative committee assignments will be finalized.

Karen Halpern and Jen Whetham are as always indispensable in helping with arrangements in Olympia.
