Hello FACTC members,

Please consider going to the legislative webpage (http://leg.wa.gov/) to make comments on current educational bills going through the state legislature.  Please also consider sending an email to your representative concerning the following bills:

HB 1033:  Expanding Access to State Needs Grants.

HB 1168: 70 percent Fulltime faculty at CTCs by 2023.

HB 1179: Part-time faculty receive equal pay for equal work by 2020-2021.

HB 1237: Modifying collective bargaining law to authorize providing additional compensation to academic employees at community and technical colleges.


HB 1732: Concerning the confidentiality of educator professional growth plans.

When you go to the website, you will see "Let your voices be heard" and beneath that header you can search for these bills and also connect with your representatives.  Does not work in Chrome.

FACTC takes no official stance on these issues, but encourages its members to participate in the process.
