Hey All,
Here is the letter that MSSDC wrote in support of Palestine. See the response below from Claire Peinado on behalf of WSSSC. Thoughts? I wonder if we can add this as an agenda item for our next meeting.

Thanks,
Maribel

Dear Magnus (ARC), Bryan (ARC), Bryan (DSSC), Davi (DSSC), and Rick (MSSDC),

On behalf of WSSSC Executive Committee, we extend our gratitude for the communication recently received from your council. Your insights are crucial to our collaborative efforts, and we are committed to providing consideration to the issues you've raised. To facilitate a more comprehensive discussion, we have scheduled an in-depth review of your council's letter during our upcoming monthly executive agenda.

In the spirit of fostering stronger communication, we would like to express our interest in finding new and better ways for our liaisons to receive feedback, present feedback to WSSSC, and to make progress on critical issues. As such, we would like to move away from the emerging practice of submitting formal letters from councils as the primary mode of communication. Instead, we believe that more thoughtful and direct conversations will enhance our understanding of each other's perspectives, foster a deeper connection, and provide a stronger route for issues to be resolved. Our aim is to promote a dialogue that transcends written exchanges and encourages open transparent discourse.

Following our internal WSSSC discussion, we will work collaboratively with you to identify the best strategies to make progress on your important issues. Subsequently, the liaison can then provide a comprehensive update during your next scheduled meeting. This update will include any questions, actions, or responses that may arise from deliberations. If there are specific points you wish us to address during our internal discussion, please convey them through your designated liaison.

We appreciate your proactive engagement and welcome the opportunity to engage in more meaningful conversations in the future. Thank you for your continued commitment to building a collaborative and effective partnership between our groups.

Wishing you a wonderful winter quarter.

Best,

Claire
