Sharing the letter that Student Services drafted to MSSDC to show financial commitment for SOCC. Our EDI office is contributing $20k to ensure that SOCC has some of the funds they need to move forward with a combined contribution of $50,000, including $10k from student services (Lauren Hibbs) and $20k student success (Monica Wilson), in addition to administrative support.

Dear Monica, Sophia, Melissa, Amunoo, and Joyce,



Attached is the final signed SOCC response letter for your records. Yokiko and I want to share our deep and sincere gratitude for your invaluable support and collaboration in reviewing the SOCC request and coming to the final attached response letter and funds support. The collective effort and support you each demonstrated in this process has been remarkable and greatly appreciated. We hope you agree that this exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that our students of color continue to receive the support and opportunities they deserve and reinforced our shared commitment to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion within our l community.



Shared values and teamwork matter, and this effort was a testament to what we can achieve when we come together to support a common purpose.



I will share this letter with WSSSC and Yokiko will share with MCSSC and SOCC leaders. We have asked conference leaders to promptly contact the Student Success Center to begin to coordinate conference logistics. Of course, we are all here to help and will stay in communication!



Once again, thank you each for your dedication and teamwork, and most of all commitment to students.
