[DEOC] [EXTERNAL] Re: Professional Development/Evaluation Report Out

Hey DEOC Fam,
I realize that perhaps most folks know the info I am about to share as the last communication was in April with the SB language, and I might be the last to the party, but I just want to make sure we all do have the same info!  SB5227 and SB5194 NO LONGER the language we should be using! The SB5227 that is now going through senate is about sex-selection abortions and SB5194 is now something to do with WA Insurance Commissioner. OUR sb5227 and sb5194 are now referenceable from RCW’s, which I think I have all below:

Hello everyone,

A template or an outline/checklist of the required components and format would be helpful. I have collected a few records from various sources here on our campus about training that was delivered this past year (name and date of training, attendees) but not much else. Some had evaluations. Some don't. Most were DEI related, some were anti-racist specific. No training was delivered to students that I can find. What else are we to submit? For example #3 below is vague "other program information":

SB5227 Professional Development and Training
Colleges must:
1) Provide DEI/anti-racism training to faculty, staff, and students. Training can be existing or new, and developed in partnership with faculty, staff, and students;
2) Create an evaluation for the participants;
3) Share completed evaluations and other program information with SBCTC annually;
4) Post DEI training framework on public website.

Anything people suggest will be better than what I currently have as a report -- nothing.

Hi Fam -

For the submissions for professional development on DEI/antiracism coming up on July 1 - have you all made a template of how you plan to submit your reports?  We have tracked evaluations, learning objectives being achieved, percentage of faculty and staff completion rates, etc. Just looking to see how folx plan to package that report. Within 5227, it outlines the evaluations being reported to SBCTC or COP by July 1. If there is no unified template/or report out approach, we’ll just continue as we are….
