[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] 24/25 WASFA Updates from WSAC and processing 24/25 WASFA applications in ctcLink

Good Morning FA-

Earlier this morning WSAC announced that 2024-2025 WASFA applications are available for download from the WSAC Portal. The WSAC Portal defaults to the 2024-2025 Academic Year. To continue downloading for the current 2023-2024 Aid Year, be sure to update the Academic Year drop down in the WSAC Portal to 2023-2024.

Note: 2024-2025 ISIR/WASFA applications cannot be processed in the ctcLink system until the PRPs containing 24/25 FAFSA Simplification components have been installed. We are aiming for the second week of May 2024 to release these updates into Production*.
*This timeline is subject to change depending on when we receive ISIRs and when Oracle sends updated PRPs.

Hello Financial Aid Colleagues!


We wanted to share some updates regarding the 2024-25 WASFA.


  *   Data for 2024-25 WASFA applications is now live when viewing WASFA application details for a given student. If you click on a student, you will now see accurate 24/25 WASFA information.


  *   The 2024-25 WASFA applicant data is now available to be downloaded in ISIR format!  the CSV option is available.



  *   Please let us know of any discrepancies with your 24/25 WASFA ISIRs.



  *   Corrections for both 2023-24 and 2024-25 are still unavailable to be completed in the portal, however, applications that students have edited will continue to be received.



  *   Please note that the only workaround for income-based corrections currently is for students to edit their applications.



  *   For professional judgment decisions, you may disburse funds to the student. Once corrections are available again, you will be required to edit the student's application in the portal to reflect the PJ.
