[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Update: May DL Recon Report Inaccurate Results

Good Morning FA and Happy Friday!

As some are aware, there are a couple of issues with the most recent Direct Loan School Account Statement (SAS). We are working with our technical team to address the two issues below:

·         Issue #1: COD made changes to the DLSAS (dsdf) record layout, causing the data to load incorrectly into the delivered DLSAS table. For example, a loan amount of $1167 appears as $116

o   Resolution: Fix from Oracle will be applied along with FA PRP3 (evening of 5/25)

§  When the dsdf file is processed through FA Inbound after the fix, data will appear correct in the DLSAS Import 2022-2023 page

·         Issue #2: The same changes to the dsdf record layout causes the custom Direct Loan Reconciliation Report to show all students on the report as having a discrepancy, resulting in a report of multiple hundreds of pages

o   Resolution: TBD. As soon as we have a timeline, we will follow up with those details.

If you do not utilize the Direct Loan Reconciliation Report in ctcLink, you may disregard this message.

Per the 23-24 COD Technical Reference, a formatting change was made to the DLSAS (dsdf file). While this change is mentioned in the 23-24 guide, the update is applicable to all award years. For those that run this report monthly, the April dsdf file will create an accurate report in ctcLink as COD had not implemented the change at the time the April dsdf file was generated. However, your May report will appear as if there are more discrepancies than usual.
