HELPFUL REMINDERS AND TIPS:

Resurrecting this snippet from the Sept 2022 weeklyish-
DO NOT MANUALLY OVERRIDE LOAN ORIGINATION: It has been discovered that there are some occurrences of manually overriding loan origination statuses in the Direct Loan Override page. Please do not do this because manually accepting an origination will not generate again to go out to COD, essentially causing ctcLink and COD to forever be out-of-sync. The loan record will need to be maintained manually in both systems for the rest of the aid year, and this is not the accepted business practice.
Once you have made an adjustment on the Override Processing Status page, there are no take-backsies and you will forever be out of sync with COD for the aid year.
Do not make adjustments to force origination from the Override Processing Status page:

Please use the Validation Error Reports and Loans on Hold Report to work through your loan origination rejects. Once adjustments are made, you can queue the changes up for origination from the Manage Direct Loan Application page.

DISBURSING & CENSUS. Finding students with enrollment-level changes seems like a never-ending query effort until census lock! From the Census Day Business Processing Guide, you should be running this query until census lock:

CTC_FA_LOAD_COMP_BETWEEN_DATE: This query should be run up until census date. The query compares students with different FA Load levels when disbursed to date entered in prompt. This query does not have an item type restriction. Run this before your refunds are run so as to capture students who should not have an award refunded to them if they are not enrolled in the proper enrollment level for the award

Hey, you-yeah you! Have you had enough water today? It's hot out, summertime is here, make sure you stay hydrated at work! From Healthline.com, a few tips on the benefits of drinking enough water:

  * It aids in cognitive function! -Keeps you alert, focused, and improves short-term memory
  * It helps boost energy! -Activates your metabolism and improves your metabolic rate, so that means you're more efficiently burning calories, even at your desk!
  * It helps fight off illness! -helps you better absorb vitamins, nutrients from food, and increases your chances of staying healthy

How much water should we drink?

According to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine<http://www8.nationalacademies.org/onpinews/newsitem.aspx?RecordID=10925>, general water intake (from all beverages and foods) that meet most people's needs are:

  * about 15.5 cups of water (125 ounces) each day for men
  * about 11.5 cups (91 ounces) daily for women

People get about 20% of their daily water intake from food. The rest is dependent on drinking water and water-based beverages. So, ideally men would consume about 100 ounces (3.0 liters) of water from beverages, and women, about 73 ounces (2.12 liters) from beverages.

You'll have to increase your water intake if you're exercising or living in a hotter region to avoid dehydration.
