[BLC] Special Graduation Regalia for BAS?

Hi Anne,

At Skagit Valley College, our bachelor degree students wear a black cap and gown.  We provide personalized medals to each graduating member with the degree name and their  name. The medal ribbon color matches the discipline color (drab for business, , gold for environmental science etc).   Our high school completion students wear the same crimson garb as the associate degree students. It is exciting to see the pops of black among all the crimson.

Congrats on your first graduating cohort, Anne! Our students wear the same cap and gown, but we provide stoles that say "Bachelor of Applied Science" and cords based on the color associated with their degree pathway.

Hi, BLC colleagues
We're getting ready to celebrate our first BAS cohort graduating this afternoon-- whoop, whoop!!!! I'm curious about what other colleges are doing for BAS graduation regalia. We ended up having students use the same cap and gown as the rest of our student body and provided a program stole and pin to signify the BAS credential.

I'd love to hear what others are doing. Does anyone do a different colored robe/cap for BAS? What about for students celebrating high school completion, do they wear a distinctive robe/cap?
