Thank you for turning in your FFY 17 BFET Budget Proposal. All information and/or responses are due by COB Thursday, 7/21/16.  The short turnaround is absolutely needed to complete the state plan.  Please contact us if you need more time to respond.

Please clarify or provide information below and make adjustments to the budget and performance as needed:

SBCTC

1.      Most colleges use an indirect rate.  Please collect and make available upon request all current federally approved indirect rate letters for each college. .  Please note that it cannot be used if no 100% funds are approved for contract.  It is unlike that 100% funds for colleges will be available at the start of FY 2017.  We will endure to request mid year carryover funds, including 100% as soon as possible.  If 100% funds is available during the year then we may review requests for that funding at that time.  Any funds added to the contract are available from the effective date of the amendment and forward.
Bellevue College

1.      Need copy of current Indirect rate letter for SBCTC's record and make available to DSHS upon request.  Please note that it cannot be used if no 100% funds are approved for contract.

2.      Fringe benefits are very high.  (40 to 60 percent) Please review and/or provide clarification.

3.      No tuition included in the budget. Please clarify whether this is intentional.

Good morning, Dave.
I have attached the FFY17 BFET budgets for SBCTC and the colleges.

The total budget amount for SBCTC is $331,572, all of which is funded by 100% funds.

The total 50/50 budget amount for the colleges is $23,106,141, with $11,533,070 being Local and $11,533,071 being Federal.

We, also, had the colleges submit their indirect costs to determine our initial FFY17 BFET 100% funds request of $1,054,730.
