Subject: Opportunity to Provide Feedback on the next Executive Director

This message was sent on behalf of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges Executive Director Search Advisory Committee

Dear members of our college system community,

Selecting the next executive director of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will be a pivotal moment for our college system and the students we serve. Your input is extremely valuable to us as we seek the right candidate for this important role.

The scheduled listening sessions have concluded but there is still time to provide feedback and input through SurveyMonkey!

The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZHLHZRZ to let us know what qualities and experiences you would like to see in the next executive director. Your feedback will help Academic Search<https://www.academicsearch.org/>, the consultants helping us with the search process, create a job profile and guide meaningful conversations with potential candidates. The profile will include professional qualifications, details about SBCTC, an overview of the community and technical college system - including our mission, values, and strategies - and information about what it is like to live and work in Olympia.

The survey asks four open-ended questions:

  * What makes SBCTC and Washington's community and technical college system great...what are the points of pride a potential applicant should know?
  * What are the attributes, characteristics, values, and experiences that you would like to see in the next executive director?
  * From your perspective, what are the three highest priorities for the incoming executive director?
  * From your perspective, what are the top three challenges the incoming executive director will face?
I also encourage you to share this with your communities. We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate your involvement in this important process.

Sincerely,

[Compass]Julie Huss (she/her)
