The event will be a space for the Community & Technical College system to come together to learn and discuss equitable math placement practices and what the future can look like for our students. The entire event is open to all; however, on day 2 we will have a dedicated focus on the Math Placement Project Grant with information and updates. We invite faculty and staff to join us, registration will close October 18th, 2024, at 5:00pm. Each attendee must register separately to ensure an accurate headcount.
Keynote Information:
We are thrilled to announce keynote, John J. Hetts, PhD.

John J. Hetts, PhD, leads the development and delivery of information technology and security services, student-centered technology-focused initiatives, and evidence-based reporting and evaluation. Dr. Hetts joined the Chancellor's Office in 2019 as visiting executive for research and data in the California Community Colleges Office and has helped to reimagine the role of data, research, and evidence, working to rebuild that capacity within the system office to better serve colleges and their 1.8 million students.

A nationally recognized leader in intersegmental educational pathways in higher education, Dr. Hetts has spent the last two decades working to better understand and recognize student capacity to make certain that all students receive fair credit for their skills and the full opportunity to put those skills to use to achieve their educational goals and aspirations. *To minimize out of pocket expenses and overall costs to colleges, full breakfast and lunch will be provided on November 7th and full breakfast will be provided on November 8th as well as substantive snacks throughout. Important also to note, there is no registration fee.
