I am pleased to announce that on November 14th from 10:00am - 11:00am SBCTC will be hosting an Ability to Benefit: Eligible Career Pathway Program webinar. The webinar will detail the upcoming US  Department of Education Ability to Benefit (ATB) documentation requirements for Eligible Career Pathway Programs (ECPP). SBCTC will also be releasing new resources and guidance to support current ATB colleges in meeting the new requirements.



As a reminder, the goal of Ability to Benefit (ATB ) is to provide equitable access to federal student aid as is the promise of the ATB rule in the Higher Education Act (HEA).  Through ATB, eligible adults who are concurrently completing their high school diploma and a postsecondary program can access federal student aid to pay higher education tuition and living expenses, making it just a little bit easier to be an adult college student.
