[WSSSC] Volunteer Question

What we've always told people is they may volunteer their time if it's work that's not a part of their regular paying job. If it's work that they would normally be paid to do, then they can't volunteer - we would have to pay them.

Good afternoon!

I know that we are all in the same situation where our overtime eligible classified and administrative staff can not get personal services contracts. I am working on identifying volunteers to help with athletic events and have recently been told that OT eligible staff area also not allowed to volunteer. I wanted to see if any of you have been told this same information or if you are allowed to have OT eligible employees volunteer.
