At Washington's community and technical colleges, we know college is about more than just classes. The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is looking for a deputy executive director for education<https://www.sbctc.edu/about/jobs/> whose vision and drive will help lead Washington's 34 community and technical colleges as they serve our nearly 262,000 students.
As the largest higher education system in Washington state, our colleges work with students from all walks of life as they achieve their goals of transferring to a university, entering the workforce, learning basic skills, or continuing their education. Our deputy executive director for education will:
*       Think and plan strategically
*       Support and empower staff
*       Build lasting relationships with peers and colleagues
The deputy executive director for education is responsible for a broad range of higher education academic areas. This position also provides vision, direction and inspiration to a team of smart, dedicated and talented SBCTC staff and college leadership.
As leaders in their field, qualified candidates should be prepared to show how their skill set will enrich the Washington's community and technical college system's mission and cultural inclusiveness.



This position will ideally be headquartered in Olympia with some telework available.


The annual salary is $191,040 - $191,040.

Washington State has a generous benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, retirement, and two optional deferred compensation programs.
