Good afternoon,

Port Angeles is a beautiful place to live and I think Peninsula College is pretty awesome too! Let me know if you have any questions. If you want to more, here is a little bit from the job posting<https://hcprd.ctclink.us/psp/tam/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&Action=U&FOCUS=Applicant&SiteId=10&JobOpeningId=12356&PostingSeq=1> (https://hcprd.ctclink.us/psp/tam/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&Action=U&FOCUS=Applicant&SiteId=10&JobOpeningId=12356&PostingSeq=1):

Peninsula College is creating this new position – Vice President of Human Resources, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (VP of HR/DEI)– to help lead the College’s most valuable resource, its people.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President works closely with the President, other Vice Presidents and equity leaders across the college to advance the College's mission of “educating diverse populations of learners through community-engaged programs and services that advance student equity and success.” The VP of HR/DEI has primary responsibility for employment policies and procedures, and providing leadership for the College's equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts. The Vice President serves as the chief human resources officer and the chief equity officer for the College. The VP will infuse DEI into the work of human resources.

The VP for Human Resources, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will build on an already strong foundation of DEI efforts and success throughout the College. The biggest areas of attention for this newly created position are leading the implementation of a Search Advocate program<https://searchadvocate.oregonstate.edu/> to help recruit employees from diverse backgrounds, and leading College-wide professional development to continue employees’ growth, awareness, advocacy and allyship in the realm of DEI to support our students. The VP of HR/DEI will actively engage faculty, staff, and students to further policies and practices that support equity and inclusion from a social justice perspective. This position also serves as administrative liaison to the College’s Equity Standing Committee and ʔaʔk̓ʷustəƞáwt̓xʷ House of Learning, Peninsula College Longhouse. The position works collaboratively with all areas of the college to cultivate equitable procedures and a climate of inclusion.

The successful candidate will have substantive knowledge and experience interpreting and applying employment policies, negotiated agreements and State and Federal laws and regulations. Skill in identification and resolution of interpersonal differences between faculty, staff and administration is required.

Thank you and take care,

Krista (she|her|hers)
