Greetings,

The State Board is interested in exploring opportunities to create and implement a systemwide process to assess Academic Credit for Prior Learning (ACPL). The effort is to reengage working adults with the goal to honor their lived and prior job skills when entering our community and technical colleges.

We recognize to pursue this endeavor we must recruit the participation and expertise of administrators from across the WA CTCs to serve on a taskforce. We write to inquire if you (a member of WSSSC) would be available to serve on this taskforce?
This taskforce seeks to do the following:

  * Identify common ground and evaluation of ACPL
  * Explore pathways for industry recognized certificate and credentials
  * Formulate a systemwide agreement for reciprocity of ACPL evaluations.
