Subject: Reminder: Funds to support New Arrivals from Ukraine and Afghanistan

Good afternoon CBS Colleagues,
Did you know the SBCTC has over $1 million in funds to support expansion of classes to serve new arrivals from Ukraine and Afghanistan? Over $500,000 has been allocated so far. These funds can support English language instruction classes through your Basic Education for Adults or Transitional Studies programs, or for expansion of I-BEST to serve students interested in a college program of study. These funds expire at the end of the fiscal year in 2023 so apply now!
The application process is very simple. Please email Will Durden, Director of Basic Education for Adults, at wdurden at sbctc.edu<mailto:wdurden at sbctc.edu> for more information and to apply.
