[Wsssc] WSSSC Newsworthy Items

Greetings, esteemed colleagues!  I just wanted to touch base quickly and let you know a few things relevant to your participation in WSSSC:


  1.  Because of the pandemic's foreclosure on in-person meetings, we did not collect WSSSC dues for 2020-21 or 2021-22.  Now that we are able to meet in-person again we will resume collection of WSSSC dues at the rate that had been agreed upon for the 2020-21 academic year, which was/is $300 per college per year.  Nanette Angel at SBCTC has set up a convenient link through Trumba to facilitate this process.  Once dues come in they will be processed through ctcLink and put into the WSSSC account.   1.  If you haven't filled out the spreadsheet that has been sent out regarding who your council representatives are, please do so asap.  We still have a few colleges that have not responded.  If you don't have a rep for a particular council just say "don't have one" or "N/A" and fill in the ones you do have.



  1.  Since I agreed to assume the presidency of WSSSC for this year I have relinquished my duties as liaison to the Veterans and Military Services Council (VMSC), so we need a new liaison for them, our newest council.  If you are interested in serving in this important work, please let me know.
