Hi Joe, Carli and Jamilyn;
BAC is creating a task force to review the major project scoring criteria and selection results for systemic biases in accordance with charge number 2 in the attached.
In addition to two representatives from BAC, they would like two representatives from Instruction, Student Services and the Chief Diversity and Equity Officers commissions.
The task force will probably need to meet twice a month and have frequent email correspondence. Here is a tentative schedule for virtual meetings:

Thx to Joe's clarifying question, I realized that I read and pushed send too fast! I actually staff the WACTC Equity committee (not commission) and Jamilyn staffs the diversity and equity officers commission (although I also help to support this group and please continue to include me on future communications). I would imagine that the diversity/equity commission would be in support. I've cc'd Jamilyn to this email chain to confirm my thoughts.

Hi Ha, Joe, and Carli;
I am helping WACTC Capital prepare some charges for this year.
They are meeting October 7th to review and adopt the charges.
Here is what we have so far:
WACTC Capital charges to commissions and councils related to capital for AY2021
Business Affairs should review need to replace buildings that are not old or in bad shape.
Business Affairs should create a task force including Business Affairs, Student Services, Instruction, and Chief Diversity and Equity Officers commission representatives to review major project scoring criteria and results for systemic biases.
Provide progress reports and final recommendations for changes to major project selection criteria based on these reviews prior to February 2021 WACTC capital meeting.
Participate in the WACTC work session for development of the 2021-23 capital budget in June 2021.
Will these work for the commissions you staff?
