[Wsssc] IHEP Degrees When Due Project

Colleagues: Earlier this summer I sent you information about a project titled "Degrees When Due," a grant-funded IHEP project offered to colleges at no cost. We have been in conversations with IHEP in conjunction with our own adult re-engagement efforts in the state, under the leadership of the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC). Bill Belden and I both serve on an advisory group to this in-state effort.

At this point, IHEP needs to know if any of our colleges will be participating in this, its first round of the Degrees When Due project. There is an August 31 deadline by which a college would need to submit an MOU. More information can be found here: https://degreeswhendue.com/
WSAC is being asked to sign a state agency level MOU with IHEP, one of the requirements for college-level participation. There is little sense in WSAC doing so without the participation of our colleges, so they have - quite reasonably - asked me to reach out to you to see if any of you are planning to participate.

I will be out of the office for the next two weeks, with limited access to email, but I will check email when I can. In the meantime, if you are interested in being a Degrees When Due participant, I encourage you to complete your MOU by the 31st. (I also realize that we are in the midst of the doldrums of summer, which may make it difficult to meet this deadline!).
