Robert, FYI.

The AGO, in conjunction with the SBCTC, will be offering all-day trainings for presiding officers in student conduct proceedings on October 4 at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake and on October 12 at Green River College at its campus in Kent.  The trainings will focus on exposing lay persons serving as presiding officers to the theories underlying student discipline and the procedures necessary to comply with constitutional and statutory due process.  We will also be demonstrating rudimentary hearing practices and providing the participants an opportunity to practice these skills.  The following link provides additional details about the presentations and guidance on how to enroll.  I would encourage you to share this information with your higher ed clients (CTC, regional universities, and Evergreen).
