WSSSC Colleagues,

I am sharing the following message on behalf of Maribel Jimenez, the incoming President of MSSDC.

"As we begin to plan for our first MSSDC Council meeting in October, the new executive committee would like to reach out to those schools that are without a representative at the MSSDC table. Now more than ever, it is imperative to have your campus represented at the quarterly MSSDC meetings. This fall we will be discussing DACA, best practices for supporting DREAMers, Bias Based Incident Teams, among providing other valuable information. The planning for the Students of Color Conference is well on its way and we do not have MSSDC contacts from several colleges. Below are some of the colleges that either do not have a current representative or have a representative but the person does not come to the meetings. Please send us the name of the person that will be representing your campus at the next MSSDC meeting scheduled for October 17 and 18 at CWU in Ellensburg in conjunction with the Pave The Way Conference. Thank you in advance for your attention to this important matter.

Bellevue College
Clark College
Columbia Basin College
Peninsula College
Centralia Community College
Grays Harbor Community College
Pierce College
South Puget Sound College
Walla Walla College"

Please contact me or Marible directly if you have any questions or need more information.

Best regards,

Ata
