[Wctcca] WCTCCA Digest, Vol 54, Issue 2

I agree with all that has been stated so far, and the concerns outlined. Here at SPSCC Student Life was evaluating Timely Care to support students in our housing programs. We were invited to the table and expressed our concerns about services being provided from out of state practitioners who are not familiar with local resources. We have multiple 24/7 resource lines locally and nationally that are already available for no charge to the student or the college. Additionally here in Oly there are limited free medical services available.

With additional research we also learned that TimelyMD (which is a component of TimelyCare) would not provide prescriptions for abortion pills. Additionally, their policies for referring to medical resources for this, and pregnancy options care, was unclear to the point of appearing like obfuscation. That this did not align with WA state laws and reproductive heath access was a deal breaker for us.

Hi all,

Highline counselors researched these programs a few years ago and landed on the same questions Gwynith shared below. In addition, we had significant confidentiality concerns.

I know UW and Seattle U both use TimelyCare, so folks at those institutions might be able to speak to their experiences with that platform.
