[Wctcca] Gathering input regarding department leadership and assessment

Hi everyone,

Our office is doing some research into different leadership models (department coordinator vs counseling director) and student assessment modalities. I'm reaching out to my counseling colleagues for your input/advice.


  1.  How many of you have full time Directors of Counseling? For those that do, would you mind sending me a job description?(nwilson at highline.edu)


  1.  What kinds of general wellness/mental health assessments do you use that can be given to the entire student body? Do any of you give short mental health/wellness assessments as part of registration or advising?

Any insights would be very helpful. Thank you!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Fall!! We hope everyone is doing well in the beginning of this quarter and can come join us this Friday for a get together virtually! We will be gathering over zoom this Friday, 10/15, 10-11:30am.



We will join similar to last year’s gatherings to check in with updates from the committee, discuss challenges/positive changes that has come about due to our respective virtual worlds and returning to campus for some. We will take time to do break out groups to gather in small groups and have some time to discuss self-care and see what we have learned through this process as well as the struggles :).
