Subject: Updated Evaluation Rubric for Mental Health Counseling and Services Grants

Colleagues: the Evaluation Rubric for the Mental Health Counseling & Services Pilot Program grants will be updated in the Program Guidelines, Appendix A, Section 2. For convenience, the new information is pasted in below. It will also be added to the answer (A9) to Question 9 in the Q & A document on the grant webpage. As a reminder, the application deadline is August 12th.

Here is the new, additional information in the Program Guidelines:

Based on the legislative intent of Senate Bill 5194, the committee will also consider the following factors to ensure pilot colleges are addressing the need to improve equity, diversity and inclusion:

1. Does the proposal demonstrate how it will close equity gaps in its service to students?

2. Does the proposal address the current state of students' mental health needs, including the trauma and inequitable impacts of the pandemic?

3. Does the proposal demonstrate student and community need?

4. Does the proposal include or represent student voices?

5. Does the proposal articulate clear outcomes of the pilot?

6. Does the proposal demonstrated sustained services after grand funding ends?
