[Wactclc-primo] temporary free collections in CZ

Question:

If we activate these in Alma, do we need to also activate in the PCI, and that takes at least a week to show up, right?

We’ve discussed this briefly at several of our recent meetings, so I thought I’d just throw out here which Collections I have activated in Primo (via the CZ) at our library. It took some testing to figure out exactly which collections matched the temporary free content I was seeing on the actual vendor platforms, so I thought it might be useful to anyone else trying to figure out the correct collection names. I did only a few selected collections that will be easy to remove in one fell swoop once they are no longer free.

  1. “JSTOR Books Complimentary Collection”(17,595 portfolios); for JSTOR current subscribers only, I believe. I am running through EZproxy.
  2. “Elsevier ScienceDirect Textbooks” (256 portfolios); for ScienceDirect current subscribers only, I believe. I am running through EZProxy.
  3. “Project MUSE Free Books During COVID-19” (17,595 portfolios); not running through proxy server because they are free to all
  4. “Project MUSE Free Journals During COVID-19” (241 portfolios); not running through proxy server because they are free to all
