[Wactclc-primo] Updating "Get It" Section

So, as usual, a posted question has me doing a deep dive on LCC’s configuration. I’ve been making a lot of tweaks, but I’m flummoxed by the following. In the initial full item display, I have a “back” button:

If you hit the “back” button, you get this unhelpful screen:

1)      Can I get rid of this unhelpful “back” button?

2)      If so, how?

The bulk of my experience with Primo and Alma was before Primo was absorbed into Alma as a module, so some or all of what I'm writing here may be obsolete. I'm still not certain what aspects of the DOM are editable with regards to the Get It and View It sections. The Primo application always treated those sections as an Alma iframe. I know it's unified after the Primo VE module went live in Alma, and we can see in a console editor that the Get It and View It sections are now Primo directives (prm-alma-viewit, for example). I'm rooting for success for you Greg in terms of paring down this form.

Greg, I took a look at the request form parameters for LWTech, on the screen Dan provided the navigation to.

I went ahead and set all parameters to ‘No’.

The pickup location still shows, but it is display only, and not editable by the user (since LWTech only has one pickup location). There might be a way to suppress its display via css, but just turning off those parameters makes your request form less “busy” looking, which I believe is your goal.

Check under Alma Configuration - Discovery - GetIt Configuration - Hold and Booking Request. You can disable options there.

Hey all,

Does anyone know how much of the Get It section can be edited? Ideally it would be nice under the Request section to remove the pickup location, the material type, the terms of use, the not needed after, the comment, and the reset form. In other words, it would be nice to have the user click “Request,” and then display some text saying that the item is now located on the hold shelf at the library.

Thoughts?
