Hi all,

Just sending this as an FYI. Looks like we aren’t the only ones having issues with Primo requests under certain parameters. Might be worth testing your Primo request functionality (in all of your free time ;)).

I have a case in with Ex Libris that is currently at “Tier 2.”

Yes we have something similar – which we have raised as a high priority support call with Ex-Libris last week, and are awaiting a reply.

Our issue is that users are not able to place requests via Primo on some records, which they could previously.    So, they don’t get the Request button appearing on the Primo screen even though all items should permit a request to be placed.
We haven’t yet established the common factor in these – some of them do include Lost items, but some don’t so it’s not the only problem.  We have Reference items in the same location as our circulating items and they had an exception policy that discounted them from the requests, but in some cases these now seem to be preventing a user to place a request, when previously they didn’t.

Not a good situation – but maybe reassuring that we aren’t the only ones with these similar issues.

We are Primo VE – not sure whether it is a Primo VE issue or an Alma issue.

(or Alma)

Good morning,

Last week we discovered that we were no longer able to place Work Orders on Lost items in Alma (we have posted about this on Alma-L). Now we’re realizing this issue extends to our patrons as they will get an error if they try to request a book in Primo that is “Not available.”

Has anyone else seen this?
