Ahh, but it looks like it did change its name a few times and those other names are what show up in Primo! The names are all linked in the EBSCO databases, but they are not all linked in Primo. I will update my case to add Related Titles in the details for all of the other titles it has gone by!

In Academic Search Premier and other EBSCO databases, U.S. News continues through present with full text PDF articles. The paper copy stopped publication in 2010, but it still published electronically. I just want EL to allow for the full text pdf articles from 2010-present to also show up in a search.

And one thing I just noticed, if you "search inside" US News in WorldCat for articles, the article citations stop at 2010 as well, which agrees with what Primo seems to be offering.

Years after 2010 may be under a different ISSN, title, or publisher variation (if available).

Just FYI, it looks to me like US News and World Report stopped publishing in 2010, if OCLC record is accurate.

https://www.worldcat.org/title/us-news-world-report/oclc/7786209&referer=brief_results

Wenatchee's physical title record also indicates 'ceased publication in 2010':

https://sbctc-wvc.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/discovery/fulldisplay?docid=alma99679823402826&context=L&vid=01STATEWA_WENVC:WENATCHEE&search_scope=MyInst_and_CI&tab=Everything&lang=en

So I'm not sure you should see articles after 2010?

One guess is that the original US News and World Report "proper" stopped publishing in 2010, and now publishes under different titles, publishers or issn's.

Those publications since 2010 may not be activated in the PCI, or because of the publication changes they may not match up with any journals in Alma.

You could try finding a post-2010 article in Ebsco, searching Primo with 'expand my results' and see if the article exists in the PCI. And if so, what journal / issn is it associated with.

ATTENTION: This email contains links. Please follow best practices before clicking on links I have the same issue with that journal and Lexis Nexis. Through Lexis Nexis we should have current holdings, but in both the primo search/view it and in an electronic portfolio search for U.S. News and World Report the availability is only until 2010.

I think Amy is right that it's a metadata problem...

Just a reminder, Ebsco doesn't share it's article data with Ex Libris.

So any article citations in Primo are coming from alternative collections, and so may not be accurate relative to Ebsco.

For example, if the article metadata for US News is coming via a Gale collection activation, the Gale collection may only include through 2010. So, no articles after that would be found.

I answered my own question. No U.S. News & World Report articles show up in a Primo search after 2010, which is a major problem, so I will report it.

Just happened to come across this case. Our A-Z list shows that we only have U.S. News & World Report until 1990. But we really have full text "to present!" I can see when I go to edit the portfolio that I can create a custom Local Date and make the record use that instead of the default date. But would it be better to open a case with EL so that they can correct the date in their global record? Thanks!
